Bone Loss clinical trials at UCSF
1 research study open to eligible people
Bone loss is when bones weaken and become fragile. At UCSF, we are recruiting for a clinical trial to prevent high-turnover bone loss after bariatric surgery. The trial is evaluating whether denosumab can help prevent bone loss and fractures. Join us in the fight to improve bone health.
open to eligible people ages 25 years and up
Bariatric surgery leads to bone loss and increases fracture risk. This study evaluates whether denosumab can prevent the high-turnover bone loss that occurs after Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass (RYGB) and sleeve gastrectomy (SG) surgery.
