Demoralization is a feeling of helplessness, loss of meaning, and low morale. UCSF is running a phase 2, triple-blind, randomized study of psilocybin therapy versus an active control in palliative care. The study tracks safety and measures patient response.

    This multicenter, triple-blind, phase 2, randomized controlled trial will evaluate the efficacy and safety of psilocybin therapy compared to an active control in treating demoralization in adults near the end of life (≤2 years life expectancy).
