E Coli Infections clinical trials at UCSF

E. coli infections are caused by Escherichia coli bacteria that can make people sick. UCSF is evaluating an oral drug in adults with blood cancers who will undergo stem cell transplant and who carry antibiotic-resistant E. coli while taking preventive antibiotics. UCSF is collecting safety and drug level data.

This is a Phase 1b/2a study in allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplant patients to investigate the safety, PK, PD and preliminary efficacy of multiple oral administrations of SNIPR001 when given concomitantly with SoC levofloxacin.
