Immune dysregulation is a condition where the immune system is not working properly. There is a clinical trial at UCSF for children with a type of immune dysregulation. It is called the TRIUMPH trial and it is testing different ways to treat the condition with immunosuppressive therapy. They are recruiting participants now.

    TReatment for ImmUne Mediated PathopHysiology (TRIUMPH) is a multi-center, three arm, randomized, controlled trial of immunosuppressive therapy for children with acute liver failure. The study will determine if suppressing inflammatory responses with either corticosteroids or equine anti-thymocyte globulin therapy improves survival for children with this rare, life-threatening condition.
