Articular cartilage defect is damage to the smooth coating on the ends of your bones. At UCSF, we're studying how NOVOCART 3D compares to Microfracture in treating knee cartilage defects. This includes looking at changes in pain levels.

    This study is to compare NOVOCART 3D relative to Microfracture for the treatment of knee cartilage defects. Efficacy will be evaluated by both pain and function. Safety will also be evaluated.
