Tricuspid Valve Insufficiency clinical trials at UCSF
2 research studies open to eligible people
Tricuspid valve insufficiency is when blood leaks backwards through the valve in the heart. At UCSF, there are clinical trials testing new valve replacement and repair systems. One trial is evaluating the Edwards EVOQUE system. Another trial is testing the effectiveness of the Edwards PASCAL Transcatheter Valve Repair System. Both trials are for patients with severe symptoms.
Edwards PASCAL Transcatheter Valve Repair System Pivotal Clinical Trial
open to eligible people ages 18 years and up
To establish the safety and effectiveness of the Edwards PASCAL Transcatheter Repair System in patients with symptomatic severe tricuspid regurgitation who have been determined to be at an intermediate or greater estimated risk of mortality with tricuspid valve surgery by the cardiac surgeon with concurrence by the local Heart Team
San Francisco, California and other locations
TRISCEND II Pivotal Trial
open to eligible people ages 18 years and up
Pivotal trial to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Edwards EVOQUE tricuspid valve replacement system
San Francisco, California and other locations
Our lead scientists for Tricuspid Valve Insufficiency research studies include Sammy Elmariah, MD.
