Single ventricle heart disease is a rare condition where one pumping chamber supports circulation. UCSF is conducting clinical research that measures exercise, breathing, and heart responses. One study compares an oral drug, udenafil, to placebo to monitor safety and exercise changes.

    This study will evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of udenafil, an orally administered, potent and selective inhibitor of PDE5, versus placebo for the treatment of adolescent who have had the Fontan procedure.
